Hey everyone! I hope you are having an awesome start to your week. I still
Anyway! On to this week’s post. In honor of Valentine’s Day/ Galentine’s Day, I decided to put together a quick post with some ideas for girls’ nights geared towards Columbus and Ohio, but they can also be altered to work with wherever you live!
5 Girls’ Nights Ideas in Ohio!
Plan an activity together
I love when my roommates and I plan a day to do something together. From wine tastings to candle making, Columbus has endless options! My roommates love the Candle Lab, and it is a super popular option near campus. I haven’t actually made a candle there yet (I want to soon!), but I’ve stopped in multiple times and I love the atmosphere.
(I also mentioned the candle lab in a previous post. Click here to read it!)
You could also plan a wine & paint night, or a yoga and brunch date. There are so many options all over Ohio! Grab your girlfriends & get creative.
Movie & take-out night
I definitely do not watch nearly as many movies as I would like. That’s why I love when my roommates and I plan a night to watch one. We usually make popcorn and bake something sweet, but we also occasionally like to order take out. Both of these options are cheap (Especially when split between multiple people) and they are super easy to coordinate, especially when it’s too cold outside to do anything!
There are Top Golf locations all across the country, and they have one here in Columbus as well. I haven’t been, but my boyfriend has and he loves the atmosphere. There are drinks, food, and lots of activities to do besides just golf. It’s fun to get a group of people together to go somewhere that has everything you need in one place!
Everyone loves chips & dip. Invite your girlfriends over and have everyone bring a dip of their choosing. I personally love my mom and aunt’s buffalo chicken dip recipe. My roommate Sarah makes a bomb spinach & artichoke dip, and my roommate Mikayla is dairy-free but everything she makes always tastes delicious!
What makes a dip night even better is streaming reality TV shows while you’re eating! Our house’s personal favorites are The Bachelor (obviously), temptation island, and Teen Mom (ok that might just be me).
Have a GNO
Take time to go out on the town with just your girlfriends. Get dolled up, have a fun pregame at one of your houses with food and fun drinks, and head out to your favorite bar or club. You are never too young or old to dance it out with your girls.
Do you have any favorite girls’ night or Galentine’s day ideas?
Happy Valentine’s and Galentine’s Day, ladies and gents! I love celebrating all types of love! XOXO
